Enjoy the fall outdoors

Fall may mean cooler weather, but the fun at the Denver Botanic Gardens isn’t over for the year just yet.

Chatfield’s 6th Annual Corn Maze promises participants the most challenging to date. The maze is in the design of three, huge columbine flowers that cover five acres in a twisting, turning pathway created by nine-foot tall stalks of corn. Two 15-foot illuminated bridges overlook the giant corn maze and a smaller maze will thrill the younger children.

The maze is open Friday-Sunday through Oct. 31. Families might want to combine a trip to the maze with the 17th Annual Pumpkin Festival that will be held Oct. 8. Hayrides, barrel train rides will excite the children. Crafts will be for sale for the adults and the entire family can choose that perfect pumpkin together. For more information, call 720-865-3552 or visit www.botanticgardens.org.
